Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera) Leaf Juice
Aloe vera contains many active constituents including vitamins, enzymes, minerals, sugars, lignin, saponins, salicylic acids and amino acids. The plant fatty-acids found in Aloe vera have anti-inflammatory properties, and can be used to help soothe skin and restore moisture.
Coco-Glucoside
A vegetable origin (coconut/palm kernel oil, glucose) cleansing agent that gives moderate to high stable foam. It's also biodegradable and mild to the skin.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
Cocamidopropyl betaine (Coco Betaine) is one of the most commonly utilised surfactants in the personal care industry. This mild, derived from Coconut, surfactant, is considered to be high foaming, with what is known as good flash foam. Cocamidopropyl betaine can be combined with almost any other surfactant in shampoo, shower Gel and and Bubble Bath formulations.
Glycerin
Glycerin, also known as glycerol, is a natural compound derived from vegetable oils or animal fats. It’s a clear, colorless, odorless, and syrupy liquid with a sweet taste. Glycerin is a humectant, a type of moisturizing agent that pulls water into the outer layer of your skin from deeper levels of your skin and the air.
Xanthan Gum
Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide with many industrial uses, including as a common food additive. It is an effective thickening agent, emulsifier, and stabilizer that prevents ingredients from separating. It can be produced from simple sugars using a fermentation process and derives its name from the species of bacteria used, Xanthomonas campestris.
Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract
Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) leaf extract is from a perennial herbaceous plant native to the Mediterranean region. It can have antioxidant benefit for skin, but its aromatic components can cause sensitivity. However, in most skin care products the amount of rosemary extract is unlikely to be a risk, and rosemary extract is much less of a problem for skin than rosemary oil because the extract usually doesn’t contain much, if any, of rosemary oil’s volatile fragrance components.
Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract
Olive leaf extract comes from the leaves of the olive tree (Olea europaea). Its active compound oleuropein is thought to contain antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Although research is somewhat limited, olive leaf extract has been studied for its uses in diabetes, heart disease, and viral infections.
Glyceryl Caprylate
Glyceryl caprylate is a natural emollient derived from glycerin and plant fatty acids, usually appearing as a white waxy solid. This ingredient is used in many skincare products for its emollient and moisturising properties, to help maintain the balance of moisture in the skin.
Potassium Sorbate
Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, chemical formula CH₃CH=CH−CH=CH−CO₂K. It is a white salt that is very soluble in water. It is primarily used as a food preservative. Potassium sorbate is effective in a variety of applications including food, wine, and personal-care products.
Sodium Benzoate
Sodium benzoate is best known as a preservative used in processed foods and beverages to extend shelf life, though it has several other uses.
Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil
The essential oil coming from the rind of the orange (the sweet one). In general, the main component of citrus peel oils is limonene (83-97% for sweet orange peel), a super common fragrant ingredient that makes everything smell nice (but counts as a frequent skin sensitizer).
Backhousia Citriodora (Lemon Myrtle) Leaf Extract
The active ingredient S is extracted from the leaves of lemon myrtle (Backhousia citriodora), a tree native to the temperate rain forests of eastern Australia. It performs a seboregulatory action, that is to say, it limits the excretion of sebum from the skin.
Citrus Nobilis (Mandarin Orange) Peel Oil
The essential oil coming from the peel of the mandarin orange or tangor. In general, the main component of citrus peel oils is limonene (77-86% for mandarin peel), a super common fragrant ingredient that makes everything smell nice (but counts as a frequent skin sensitizer). Apart from smelling nice (and thus being a popular natural fragrance alternative), Mandarin Orange Oil also has significant antioxidant properties that's comparable to synthetic antioxidant BHT or oil-soluble antioxidant big shot vitamin E.
